FineWS 2.3.5 for Symbian OS

The new version is to satisfy customers' needs on a higher level. The improved points compare to the former version are that signing-up and web page building can all be done on smartphone.

FineWS 2.3.5 supports for Nokia and Samsung smart phones running S60 sdk 3rd edition FP1, FP2 and 5th Edition.

The basic functions of FineWS 2.3.5 are as follows.

• Signing-up and installing CMS from Fine Mobile Web directly are possible on the smartphone.
• Browsing the web pages directly is possible via the internet browser provided as bundle in FineWS 2.3.5 for SymbianOS and internet browser of PC.
• Using the built-in CMS (Contents Management System) administration site
  (http://<UserID>.finemobileweb.net/admin or http://<WiFi IP>/admin) can manage the mobile site.

FineWS 2.3 for Symbian OS

FineWS as the core product of FINE platform is the web server runs on smartphone.

FineWS ensures totally interactive APIs with Apache, but unlike Apache it has the mechanism that it can stably run on embedded systems like smarphone. Even though it can not hold many visitors at the same time, the whole system and process itself will not be affected by the overloading visitors. In other word, the keystone of developing the product is avoiding the whole system affected by the overload of the ability limited CPU and memory of smartphone.

And it is realized to run the most commonly used PHP web applications stably and PHP execution environment is provided just the same with the Apache runs on PC.

FineWS 2.2 for Nokia, which comes from our original embedded web server-FineWS ported to Nokia smartphone, can run on the smartphone in good stability and high performance without affecting the system or other applications.

FineWS 2.2 for Nokia can run on Nokia N95, N96, N78, and E71 with WiFi. Internet version will also be released soon.

We will continue porting it to other Symbian models, Windows Mobile, and iPhone platform.
